so, i am sitting here at my friends house just hanging out with him, his sister, my gf...and me...and this guy and his wife comes over to visit my friends mom. (we ALL lived in korea ..in the same apartment building...etc...small world) ...so after 5 years...he said "hey, wanta come see my new toy" ..and i said, sure...it was a 99 vette. he was talking shit..saying "well, i had to park a fast car in the driveway..around these slow cars" ..(my Z..my friends stang GT, and his sisters camaro) ...i laughed and laughed. he was saying "well i have exhaust, headers, the chip...it had 385hp..it will go" ...and ofcourse i just let him inflate his ego some more...it was pretty cool. he said.."yea, you know, those turbo cars trying to mask the fact that they dont have power" ...i then said promptly..."wanta run..here is 100 ..lets go" ...he paused for a second and said "well...i just got some stuff done, bla bla bla.." and i said "well, you talk a good game..lets go" ...so finally, he said sure. we decided two runs, one from a dead dig..the other from a 30mph roll...i told him the 3 honk rule ...and let him start it. dead dig, by 3rd, 2 cars back. 30 mph roll...4th, 3 cars back.
we pulled back into the drive way, my friend and my gf, and my friends sister just sat there and laughed...and the guys wife said .."well hunnie..you just lost" ...100 bucks to me...one cocky vette driver with his tails between his legs...and me sitting here just with a smile on my face. ps..he didnt like my comment of "shit, and its just a V6...my bad"
